Currently, we at Toyota Auto Center are looking for a full-time Chief Accountant to be part of our team located in Skopje:

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
• Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.
• Ensure correctness of the execution of documents, the correct calculation and transfer of taxes and other mandatory payments
•  Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting packages in line with local GAAP and in line with IFRS, following Group accounting & reporting policies
• Preparation and submission of tax returns, statistical reporting
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS
• Ensure compliance with Company Internal Control standards and systems.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
• Monitoring of the annual stock taking of assets
• Monitoring of tax and accounting legislation and its proper application within the company accounting processes
• Implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide support and assistance to colleagues in relation to monthly closings
• Supervises a team of accountants
• Trains and assists in onboarding new employees in the department.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• University degree, preferably Accounting & Auditing
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar position
• Chartered accountant certificate is mandatory
• Very good knowledge of English, spoken and written
• Excellent knowledge of working with Local GAAP and IFRS
• Experience with MS office, accounting and reporting systems
• Good organizational skills, reliability and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• High level of precision and responsibility
• Professional attitude and courteous communication with all stakeholders
