Job Role: Interoperability R&D Graduate Engineer

The Graduate Interoperability Engineer (R&D) is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates interested in integration technologies, interoperability, and data exchange. The role focuses on learning and supporting the deployment, maintenance, and improvement of MAK’s interoperability solutions under the guidance of senior team members.

The position provides hands-on experience in working with interoperability tools, data integration, and system connectivity across MAK’s products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform configuration and deployment of interoperability and data liquidity solutions
• Execute integration build and validation tasks for system interfaces and data exchange
• Perform testing and validation of integrations, including unit testing and defect identification
• Debug and resolve integration issues and defects
• Contribute to development and configuration of interoperability tools and components
• Create data liquidity requirements specifications
• Research required interoperability and data liquidity tooling
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and integration artefacts
• Participate in requirements analysis and creation of integration specifications
• Support maintenance and improvement of existing integrations and data pipelines
• Follow established engineering processes, standards, and best practices

Objectives:

• Deliver integration tasks on time and in line with defined quality standards
• Maintain low defect rate in integrations and configurations
• Resolve integration issues within agreed timelines
• Contribute to successful delivery of integration and data exchange solutions

Previous Experiences/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• Basic understanding of software development or system integration concepts
• Familiarity with data formats (e.g. XML, JSON) is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of APIs, databases, or networking concepts
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
