Job Role: Graduate Scrum Master

Location: Skopje

Reporting to: Head of Technology Transformation

The Graduate Scrum Master supports Agile delivery across one or more product teams, taking ownership of day-to-day Scrum ceremonies and team coordination. This is a structured graduate role designed to develop deep expertise in Agile facilitation, team dynamics, and delivery practices, with hands-on responsibility from day one and mentoring from the Scrum Masters.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitation & Ceremony management

  • Organise and facilitate core Scrum ceremonies: Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Maintain a consistent ceremony cadence and ensure meetings are purposeful and time-boxed
  • Communicate clearly within the team and escalate impediments to the appropriate stakeholder when needed

    2. Team support & dynamics

  • Observe and contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
  • Onboard new engineering team members to team ways of working and Agile practices
  • Foster basic team discipline around agreed norms, sprint commitments, and delivery practices

    3. Tools & Delivery visibility

  • Maintain work visibility in tools such as Jira, ensuring the board reflects current work and team status
  • Track and report on basic team metrics including sprint progress, planned vs unplanned work, and velocity

    4. Collaboration & Cross-team coordination

  • Work closely with the Product Owner, Head of Service, Team Lead and team members to support delivery
  • Support Backlog refinement and Sprint planning sessions and contribute to Sprint readiness
  • Identify and flag dependencies and coordination needs across teams

Objectives:

Performance in this role will be assessed against the following measurable indicators:

  • Sprint Metrics report: Delivered within 4 working days of sprint end, covering sprint progress, planned vs unplanned work, velocity, backlog trend, actual vs planned capacity with 100% accuracy
  • Quarterly Metrics overview: Delivered within 2 weeks of quarter end, providing a summary of delivery trends and metrics across the quarter with 100% accuracy
  • Ceremony adherence: % of ceremonies facilitated on time (within Sprint duration) and to agenda
  • Board Health: Accuracy and currency of team board in Jira through the Sprint duration and at Sprint closure

Development in Role:

This role is designed as a structured development pathway. The Graduate Scrum Master will receive:

  • Mentoring and coaching from the Scrum Masters within the department
  • Exposure to SAFe PI Planning, cross-team ceremonies, and programme-level Agile practices
  • Progressive increase in facilitation scope and team ownership over time
  • Regular feedback through 1:1s and mentorship sessions focused on growth and performance

Previous experience & Qualifications:

Required:

  • Degree in a relevant field (Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar)
  • Demonstrated interest in Agile, Scrum, or project/delivery coordination
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments
Desirable:

  • Exposure to Scrum or Agile frameworks through study, internship, or extracurricular experience
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
  • Any Agile-related certification (e.g. PSM, PSPO, SAFe) is an advantage
