EU BUSINESS PROCESS EXCELLENCE MANAGER
SUMMARY: Functions at a Senior Level of the organization to manage and exercise discretion over the day to day operations of the essential function and the Continuous Improvement of the Organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Develop, lead and execute EU continuous improvement initiatives including projects metrics and cost reduction initiatives to deliver results, including objective and target setting, measurement, monitoring, identification and escalation of roadblocks including resolution and follow up.
- Coach, train, develop, and engage team members through various continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Six Sigma, VA/VE, TPS, VSM and other relevant continuous improvement methodologies.
- Work closely with all department personnel (including BPE personnel from other regions); coordinate resources to develop problem identification, resolution skills and culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead and sustain CI activities by identifying champions and leaders to execute CI opportunities including manufacturing, administrative and development processes.
- Identifies process inefficiencies and identifies opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination & capability improvement across the supply chain, manufacturing and development processes and coordinates/facilitates activities using cross-functional resources to eliminate them.
- Drive standardization efforts including documenting processes, creating value stream maps for various work flows and implementing control plans.
- Implements, monitors, and reviews information and progress of various waste improvement projects, and procedures throughout the manufacturing operation to achieve the established goals and sustainability.
- Provide routine updates on the progress against the strategic plan to members of senior management, including proposed corrective action for any deviations from the plan.
- Promote LPMS for all manufacturing, administration and transactional processes. Coordinate benchmarking to various industries and best practice sharing across the EU organization.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business. 10 years’ experience in an engineering or business environment. Lean Master or Lean Expert and Six Sigma Black Belt desired.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this ability to adjust focus.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The employee may be required to travel to various domestic and international locations for the purpose of conducting business on behalf of the company.
