CONSTRUCTION ARCHITECT

One vacant position, location Skopje

 

Job Summary

Our firm is looking for a Lead Architect to manage our construction project design. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, evaluating and manipulating designs to meet the needs of our project. We focus on energy-efficient designs, so we’re looking for a licensed architect with green building experience. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to join a project team, we’re interested in meeting with you. The Architect is going to perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction. You will be involved in new building designs, extensions, alterations, restorations and conservations from the earliest stages right through to completion.

 

Key Accountabilities include:

• Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time;
• Determine functional and spatial requirements of structure;
• Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.

 

Responsibilities:

• Create architectural designs;
• Collaborate and coordinate the activities with external architects engaged by the company;
• Adjust designs to meet the changing needs of the company;
• Adhere to relevant industry standards in architectural design;
• Communicate and coordinate with contractors and construction companies during the construction phase of the project;
• Collaborates with engineers, landscape architects, contractors, and urban planners;
• Provide input for contract documents for building contractors;
• Prepare scale drawings;
• Plan layout of project;
• Develop ideas keeping in mind company’s needs, buildings usage and environmental impact;
• Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections;
• Compile project specifications;
• Keep within budgets and timelines;
• Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations;

 

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Design or related field (M. Arch preferred);
• A working knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools and equipment employed in building and facilities construction;
• 5 to 7 years post-graduate architectural work experience;
• Experience preparing well-organized drawing sets through Construction Documents;
• Understanding of building systems and detail documentation;
• Capable of clearly communicating with the project team, excellent presentation skills;
• Able to coordinate and resolve design issues, ability to articulately express ideas;
• Efficient planning and organization skills, able to anticipate and minimize project conflicts;
• Accountability for assigned work;
• Exceptional computer/software competency 2D&3D; strong design, computer, technical and graphic skills;
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize / manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a time sensitive environment.
