On behalf of Airbus, Dekra is looking for a Bid Manager at the default office location in Skopje.
Job description:
- Management of all large customer Invitation For Bid (IFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP) responses and official proposals;
- Ensure the timely submission of high-quality and competitive bids in the scope of the approved budget and in line with the corresponding applicable specifications of the customer;
- Ensure permanent verification of the entire bid preparation process with the objective of continually improving the quality and efficiency of bids;
- Cooperation with specialized virtual and interdisciplinary teams;
- Preparation and planning of the bid taking into consideration the resources required, the results to be delivered and the compliance with internal milestones;
- Interfacing with all relevant stakeholders, internal and external, on technical, commercial, delivery and contractual requirements;
- Ensuring quality of all written output for a customer case ensuring that it meets the technical and commercial needs of the specific case;
- Support the development of sales strategies for major opportunities together with the case owner or key account manager;
- Ensure that the implementation of the bid preparation process is effective and efficient through:
- Analysis of customer requirements (where necessary with tool support);
- Analysis of the capture plan;
- Creation of the Executive Summary as a professional sales document that ensures the key messages provide a direct response to the customer’s requirements;
- Coordination with technical writers or graphic designers;
- Management of all participating internal resources that contribute to the preparation of the bid within budget, on time and with the required quality
- Risk management through cross-cutting risks (technical, economic, programme), ensuring they are recorded and permanently updated throughout the preparation of the bid;
- Responsible for bid handover and reporting;
- Identification and analysis of business opportunities on current, emerging and future markets.
Required qualifications:
- 2-5 years professional experience in Bid/Proposal management
- 2-5 years professional experience in a commercial role is preferable
- A University degree in a field related to the function of the post or other relevant scientific subject;
- Fluent in both spoken and written English;
- Ability to participate in writing the contents of a proposal
- Extensive negotiation experience;
- Experienced in pricing of complex proposals;
- Experience working with Government/Defence IFB/purchasing processes or previous experience in working in a Military/Governmental environment.
Professional knowledge and skills:
- Ability to plan, organize and delegate tasks and responsibilities efficiently;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Knowledge of sales/bidding processes & how they are managed;
- High customer orientation;
- Proactive and “thinking outside the box” approach to tasks;
- Never give up mentality;
- Structured and process-oriented;
- Flexibility to perform also other tasks outside the scope of the main role.
