ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

JOB BRIEF
We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of a variety of financial records. Accounting Specialist should be detail-oriented and critical thinker, as well as time managing and deadline-oriented person. Also, proficiency in English is a must. 
The responsibilities of Accounting Specialist include maintaining the financial records of the company through analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts, data recording, documents preparation, reconciliation on accounts, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Recording/posting journal entries/accounting data in software system up to date
• Preparing invoices, bills, and other relevant documentation
• Recording on intercompany transactions (invoices, bills, deposits, checks)
• Daily reconciliation on intercompany balances (Payables – Receivables)
• Internal money transfers and payments on a daily basis
• Bank reconciliation on a daily basis
• Reconciliation between software systems (Operations – Accounting)
• Maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Daily communication with other departments, informing about cash balances, AR balances and other relevant information
• Daily checks on every Financial Statements accounts and recorded transactions 
• Performing monthly closing and year-end procedures, ensuring about the completeness and accuracy on accounts
• Participating in deep dive exercises on a monthly level for key accounts
• Assisting with other accounting-related duties

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong written and oral communication (both English and Macedonian)
• Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Systems analysis
• Critical thinking and active learning
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with developed sense of responsibility
• Ability to develop lasting professional relationships with clients
• Experience in a relevant industry is advantage
• University degree
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Comfortable with working Mon-Fri, 15:00-23:00h (US working hours)
