We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior .NET Backend Developer to join our Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimising robust backend systems that power our applications and services. Your expertise in .NET technologies will be critical in developing scalable APIs, ensuring system reliability, and driving performance improvements across our platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend, DevOps, and QA, to deliver secure, efficient, and high-performing backend solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services in .NET 9 / C#.
• Develop, document, and optimise APIs and microservices for performance and scalability.
• Produce clear technical documentation so your work is maintainable and reusable.
• Collaborate closely with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with long-term solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions and code reviews, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Balance technical excellence with evolving business priorities—flexibility is key.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in backend development with .NET / .NET Core.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and SQL databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Entity Framework and distributed/microservice systems.
• Excellent communication skills—you can explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate across teams.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, with minimal need for hand-holding.
• Ownership mindset—reliable, accountable, and willing to go the extra mile when deadlines or priorities require it.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Background in event-driven/messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Understanding of frontend technologies (Next.js, JavaScript) to bridge FE/BE discussions.
