CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary
Our multinational firm is seeking an experienced and professional Chief Accountant to join our team. The role will be directly reporting to CFO. The responsibility of the role is to ensure accuracy of all relevant accounting/bookkeeping and tax processes.
The person hired for the position must have thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles, as well as awareness of business trends preferably in the construction industry. The ideal candidate should possess great attention to details, accuracy, reporting skills, confidentiality and team orientation.
Job description:
· Maintaining accurate and up to date booking of all transactions
· Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries
· Performing reconciliations with partners
· Booking of inventory related transactions and reconciliations
· Booking of fixed asset purchases
· Ensuring the correctness of relevant book-keeping
· Follow up new tax legislations that may have an effect on operation
· Support preparation of monthly management reports
· Preparation on tax declarations
· Preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
· Guides accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
· Cooperation with external auditors to carry out periodical external audit processes
· Managing the process of achieving of documents according to legal requirements and Group procedures
Required Qualifications:
· University degree in Accounting or Finance
· Fluent English (both written and verbal)
Professional Expertise
· Minimum 3 years of experience on a similar position –construction company experience is an asset
· Experience in local accounting and tax legislation
· Sounds ERP knowledge – PANTHEON knowledge/experience is an asset
· Result oriented, with positive attitude
· Team Player
· Excellent communication skills
· High sense of responsibility
· Ability to work in a multinational/multicultural environment
