Our client, an international manufacturing company in the automotive sector, part of a well-established global group, is expanding its operations and is looking to strengthen its team with the following position:

Logistics Manager (Automotive Industry)

📍 South-West Region, North Macedonia

An international manufacturing company in the automotive sector is seeking an experienced and strategic Logistics Manager to lead and optimize end-to-end logistics operations.

This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient material flow, cost optimization, and full alignment with automotive industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement logistics strategies across warehousing, transportation, and customer service
• Ensure smooth production flow through effective material planning and timely supply
• Optimize inventory levels while maintaining high inventory turnover
• Coordinate daily logistics operations and manage external partners (suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouse providers)
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, FIFO principles, and OEM standards
• Lead resolution of logistics issues, including transport delays, damages, and claims
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with Lean and CI methodologies
• Monitor and control logistics budget and identify cost optimization opportunities
• Lead, develop, and motivate the logistics team (supervisors, team leaders, operational staff)

Candidate Profile

• University degree (Engineering, Economics, Logistics, or related field)
• Proven experience in logistics within a manufacturing or automotive environment
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, customs regulations, and logistics operations
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and process optimization
• Knowledge of automotive standards (e.g. ISO/TS 16949), as well as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is considered an advantage
• Advanced ERP knowledge (SAP preferred) and strong Excel skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities
• Professional proficiency in English
