Senior Accounting Specialist – Skopje

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • We are looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team in Skopje. The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related fields,
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry,
  • Proficient in chart of accounts and general accounting practices,
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations, invoicing, social security procedures, and tax declarations,
  • Basic understanding of HR processes and experience in handling related legal notifications,
  • Advanced skills in MS Office applications, especially Excel,
  • Experience with SAP or similar accounting software is preferred,
  • Strong analytical thinking, detail-oriented, and solution-focused,
  • Team player with excellent communication skills,
  • Residing in or willing to relocate to Skopje or surrounding areas,
  • Fluent in Turkish and Macedonian; proficiency in English is a plus,
  • Male candidates must have completed military service,
  • Willing to attend a training program of 2 to 6 months in our manufacturing facility in Turkey as part of the onboarding process.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Posting daily accounting transactions in accordance with legal regulations,
  • Performing month-end closing activities and preparing trial balances, balance sheets, and income statements,
  • Managing purchase and sales invoice processes,
  • Preparing tax declarations such as VAT, withholding tax, provisional and corporate tax,
  • Conducting inventory, depreciation, and period-end transactions,
  • Liaising with tax offices and independent audit firms,
  • Preparing financial data for internal reporting,
  • Monitoring and implementing updates in accounting regulations,
  • Supporting HR operations and ensuring timely and compliant legal notifications (e.g. employment entries/exits, social security filings),
  • Actively participating in a 2–6 month training program in Turkey, after which the candidate will take a key role in our accounting operations in North Macedonia.
