We are seeking to hire a Residential Kitchen Designer for one of our clients in the construction industry with headquarters in New York. This position involves designing residential kitchens, creating detailed plans, and collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality kitchen solutions.

Note: Candidates who submit a portfolio will have an advantage. The working hours for this position are in the afternoon, and it offers a remote/hybrid work style, allowing flexibility to work from home or the office.

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative and functional kitchen designs that align with client needs and industry standards.
• Create detailed layouts, floor plans, and 3D renderings using AutoCAD 2020 and ProArchitect.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and project managers to ensure design feasibility and compliance with specifications.
• Assist in selecting materials, finishes, cabinetry, and fixtures to meet aesthetic and budgetary requirements.
• Prepare design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project presentations.
• Maintain organized project files and records.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in kitchen design.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in residential kitchen design.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2020 and ProArchitect (required).
• Ability to thoroughly analyze and interpret architectural plans.
• Advanced computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, coupled with proofreading and editing abilities.
• A rapid learner who enjoys working with software and technology.
• Exceptional soft skills, characterized by collaboration, proactivity, and approachability.
• High attention to detail.
• Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to taking ownership of responsibilities and contributing to the team's success.
• Experience with systems such as Microsoft Project, Procore, or the Department of Buildings (DOB) will be considered advantageous.
