Job description
Assists in the implementation of accounting policies, internal control and overall financial management. Prepares operational and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities: Accounting
· Full control over the accounting program of local accounting policies in order to comply with local laws and practices for accounting and taxes.
· Preparing the monthly and annual closing and generating profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cashflow statement.
· Logging daily entries in accordance with the accounting policies
· Preparing and posting journals
· Monitoring the Accounts receivables and generating monthly ageing reports to the management
· Generate to the management monthly and quarterly Profit and Loss statements
· Provides management advice in terms of applicable tax regulations.
· Establishes communication with banks and other relevant financial institutions.
· Contact person for conducting external / independent financial audit of the company.
Internal controls
Monitoring of working capital (inventories, receivables, liabilities, other assets and liabilities) and communication with internal (other sectors) and external (buyers, suppliers, lawyers, etc.) stakeholders in order to constantly improve it.
Periodic suggestions to the management for improvement of the processes and the course of documentation.
Financial planning and reporting
- Prepares reports that show the company's operations and forecasts for future activities in terms of financial position, income, expenses, profits, losses and cash flow, based on past current and future expected activities.
- Prepares quarterly reporting packages for the company’s board of directors.
- Assists in the preparation and management of budget reporting (annual and five-year), reviews the proposed budgets from all sectors and prepares the necessary supporting documents for justification.
- Involvement in the preparation of reports in accordance with the requirements of the local legislation (State Statistical Office, National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, etc.)
- Communicates with supervisors by functional set-up and reports on specific issues from the financial, tax and operational aspects of the local company.
- Financial analysis
- Prepares financial analyzes at the request of the management.
- Assists in the preparation of feasibility studies for long-term projects and investments in fixed assets according to the requirements of the company
