Role Summary:

Allocate Software is a leading provider of specialist workforce management software.  The group operates mainly in the Healthcare sector but also within commercial sectors including Defence and Maritime under its “Dynama” sub-brand.

Allocate has its group headquarters in UK (Richmond) and operates in several international markets including UK, Sweden, Australia, USA, Macedonia and France, employing over 400 staff worldwide.

The Financial Accountant role is based within the Finance Operations team, supporting the worldwide Allocate business. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, international organisation and team, with great potential for the role to develop and expand with the business.

 Responsibilities:

  • Conducting monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities for Allocate Software
  • Support in preparing statutory Accounts for all entities
  • Actively participating in monthly analytical reviews of Balance Sheet and Income Statement
  • Preparing analytics and supporting schedules to support statutory audit processes
  • Taking on a deep-dive review of some of our balance sheet accounts and a clean-up exercise in preparation for year end.
  • Working with various cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement efficient and compliant accounting processes, and effective controls
  • Actively participating in improvement initiatives, standardization, re-engineering of processes and controls as and when needed
  • Conducting regular communications with external parties, including but not limited to auditors, consultants and service providers
  • Being a strong team player, who can operate globally and cross-functionally

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • University degree in Accounting or Finance
  • ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA qualification
  • Experience in Multi-Currency organisations
  • Detail-oriented yet able to reflect on and understand the big picture
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Oracle Netsuite would be a plus
