Process Development & Industrialization Engineer

 

Position responsibilities and duties:

• Promote, plan and execute Process Design and Validation activities needed for new products’ development according to Automotive requirements (e.g. Value Stream, Control Plan, SPC);
• Work in team with Equipment, R&D Product and other departments involved providing support and guidance;
• Ensure that the Process Design is correctly implemented in the plant: support the plant pre-startup checks, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities, including people training;
• Define and set up the scale up process conditions for the new products and develop production expertise actively cooperating with Manufacturing and Quality departments;
• Develop operating procedures in order to meet expected results, maximizing quality and quantity;
• Coordinate all relevant teams (R&D Product, Maintenance, Manufacturing, Process Engineering) ensuring all activities are carried out according to plan and bottle necks properly identified and escalated at upper level according to defined escalation process;
• Simplify complex processes and see opportunities for process improvements;
• Ensure KEMET know how of new products’ processes is fully documented, updated and available for all affiliates belonging to Film BU.

 

Required qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electric Engineering;
• At least 2/3 years experience in engineering environment, developing, validating and starting up new processes (preferably in Automotive field);
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills;
• Proficiency and working knowledge in MS Office tools, CAD 3D (Creo and/or Solid Works and/or ProE);
• Familiar with Lean/TPM methodologies;
• Excellent team building skills;
• Self-starter and result-driven character;
• Available to travel up to 30% of working time;
• Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills in English.
