Our client, an advanced technology company in the field of automotive industry with an international presence worldwide, is looking for a highly motivated candidate

Production and material planning leader

Tasks:

• Lead, control and coordinate all PC&L tasks and processes with the areas: production planning, material planning, production control, inventory, receiving and shipment.
• Assure planning and control of the material demand and of the detailed production program.
• Participate actively to Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Forecasts validating volumes, planning freight out, defining returnable packaging needs.
• Highlight potential GAP’s: demand exceeds capacity, demand is not covering capacity, propose GAP closing actions.
• Lead the following KPIs: Inventory, support production schedule attainment, customer service and freight cost.
• Coordinates and executes the SIOP process along with COPs (Customer order processing) team.
• Lead the MPS process (weekly basis).
• Control the daily scheduling and support Lean processes.
• Manage the semi-finished goods and finished goods inventory levels.
• Support the Start of Production process for new product launches.
• Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy.
• Support and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement.
• Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock.
• Lead planning compliance to SOX requirements.
• Participate actively to problem solving activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost optimization opportunities.
• Ensure PC&L SAP system is in place are effective, maintained and accurate.
• Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available.
• Ensure compliance with Customer requirements and IATF Audit.
• Reports to Production Control & Logistics Manager

Required candidate Profile

• Faculty degree in Economics or Technical studies
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in PC&L and Supply chain management
• Excellent knowledge of English
• Knowledge of SAP systems, PC&L software programs and excellent MS Office knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of production planning
• Strong financial skills (costing, budgeting, etc)
• Ability to motivate others to attain the department goals. Leading by example. Motivating employees to self-reflection and development progress. Understanding and applying leadership and development tools (e.g. feedback, delegating, training on and off the job).
• Accepting the opinions of others and taking all the points of view/aspects of a conflict into account. Dealing constructively with conflicts on a professional and personal level.
• Supporting team decisions. Passing on information. Creating a cooperative atmosphere within one's own area of responsibility and with the other departments
