JOB SUMMARY

He/she should have ability, experience to identify, classify, and proper storage, of different hazardous materials as well as, suggest solution of environmental problems related to hazardous waste, hazardous materials handling, and underground storage tank operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• ·Manage the receipt, storage and tracking of hazardous waste.
• Conduct routine environmental surveys, field investigations, program monitoring, data collection, and chemical testing;
• Collect samples and specimens for laboratory analysis and interpret laboratory findings for corrective actions. 
• Prepare inspection reports for the enforcement of public health laws and regulations;
• Develop and recommend procedures for corrective action by hazardous waste generators.
• Perform routine hazardous materials classification evaluations in the field
• Conduct environmental assessments, conduct training of personnel and perform inspections.
• Perform regular inventories, label drums, inspect deliveries of Hazardous Material/Waste
• Place orders for supplies and equipment
• Assist during hazardous material spill response actions and clean up when required
