VAS Engineer

 

Key Responsibilities​:

• Analyses and manages existing technical solutions,
• Develops and implements new products required by other one.Vip departments or broader in the group/cluster,
• Participates in or leads technical projects or project packages with internal resources and/or with external companies, vendors and subcontractors,
• Prepares operational concepts and renders technical solutions, monitors the operational efficiency of the services on daily and periodical base,
• Generates periodical or on-demand reports,
• 2nd level technical support for customer complaint tickets not resolved by 1st level support (Operations).

 

Job Requirements:

• University degree, Computer Science or Telecommunications,
• All round ICT performer,
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience with IT and Telecom systems in mobile or convergent networks,
• At least basic skills in PHP, Linux shell, Perl,
• C/C++ and/or Java knowledge considered advantage,
• Overall overview of telecom operator architecture (systems for voice, data and messaging, interaction with billing systems, APIs, portals, gateways and other ICT systems),
• Knowledge of protocols used for Value Added Services (SS7, SMPP, ISUP, HTTP…) considered advantage,
• Knowledge of kannel messaging gateway considered advantage,
• Interest/knowledge in IoT and web based technologies,
• Very good knowledge of Application Servers/web servers,
• Good knowledge of databases MySQL, Oracle, database design,
• General knowledge of IP based networks and protocols and ability to use protocol analyzing tools,
• Excellent knowledge of English language (written and spoken),
• Strong analytical skills, ability to identify and find solutions and bring projects to completion,
• Knowledge of reporting tools,
• Well-built personal and business culture and team play is absolute necessity.
