• Chief Accountant

Job description:

• Coordinate monthly closing process and responsible for reconciliation of general ledger accounts and maintaining all the data for imports, exports, stocks, fixed assets, bank accounts, etc.;
• Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines;
• Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations;
• Assisting the Finance Manager in the preparation of financial statements reports and ad hoc requests;
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns (VAT, WHT, PIT, CIT), ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements as per the Tax Authority Deadlines;
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts;
• Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures;
• Assisting during internal/external audits and Tax Authorities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• Provide guidance to other Accountants when needed;
• Evaluate ERP systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.

Required qualifications:

• Accounting or Finance graduate degree;
• Fluency in written and spoken English language;
• Previous experience of 3-5 years in similar position;
• Previous experience of work at an industrial entity is an asset;
• Knowledge of local legal requirements and International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS);
• Strong computer skills, user knowledge of MS Office / SAP is an asset.
