We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team. The accountant must understand the operations of the business and the underlying relationships between inputs, outputs, and the processes that support them.

As a Junior Accountant, you will manage daily financial and accounting tasks, including recording and documenting financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and compiling data for general ledger preparation. You will also support the preparation of periodic closing statements and cost accounting reports, while ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in financial records. All work is performed in line with established accounting procedures and systems.

The Junior Accountant works under the supervision of a Senior Accountant and the Controller. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage payments, invoices, and database updates efficiently. Strong communication skills are also required to support internal and external stakeholders and resolve day-to-day queries.

Responsibilities:

• Recording/posting journal entries/accounting data in software system up to date
• Preparing invoices, bills, and other relevant documentation
• Recording inter-company transactions (invoices, bills, deposits, checks)
• Daily reconciliation on intercompany balances (Payables – Receivables)
• Internal money transfers and payments daily
• Bank reconciliation daily
• Reconciliation between software systems (Operations – Accounting)
• Maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Daily communication with other departments, informing about cash balances, AR balances and other relevant information.
• Daily checks on every financial statement account and recorded transactions.
• Performing monthly closing and year-end procedures, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of accounts
• Assisting with other accounting-related duties
• Perform monthly closing and year-end procedures.

Requirements:

• Degree in accounting and finance.
• Experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Accounting knowledge and critical thinking.
• Attention to detail – to ensure all financial transactions are properly accounted for.
• Strong organization skills – to manage and keep track of multiple financial tasks simultaneously.
• Time management skills – to ensure deadlines are met.
• Problem-solving skills – to be able to identify and resolve financial issues as they arise.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel.
• Comfortable with working Mon-Fri, 15:00-23:00h (US working hours).
