PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Key responsibilities:

• Liaising with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
• Monitoring business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
• Negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous sourcing terms
• Approving the ordering of necessary goods and services
• Finalizing purchase details of orders and deliveries
• Cutting any waste and unnecessary costs to create streamlined processes
• Understanding and keeping up with new trends and regulations in the function/sector
• Examine and test existing contracts
• Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Collaborating with key stake-holders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
• Foreseeing alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers
• Expecting unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
• Performing risk management for supply of key items, contracts and agreements
• Assessing total costs of company purchases
• Controlling spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

Requirements:

• University degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or related
• Proven working experience as a procurement manager, procurement officer or head of procurement
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a skill in “reading” the market
• Talent in negotiations and networking
• Good knowledge of suppliers’ base
• Ability in decision-making and working with numbers
• Experience and expertise in collecting and analyzing data
• Strong leadership capabilities
• Proficient communicator in English language
