One of InPlayer’s biggest clients, Pageant Media, an independent publishing company with a market-leading portfolio of publications, news websites, data products, and events, needs a backend developer in order to develop their two new data products and improve their digital transformation.

As a Backend Developer, you will:

• Develop a RESTful API for two data products
• Work with Elasticsearch as secondary storage
• Implement InPlayer’s API for data access control and subscription management
• Implement WordPress as a front end web interface
• Build PHP centric features that are robust, scalable and elegant

We’re looking for:

• Mid to expert level PHP and MySQL experience
• Great knowledge of RESTful API web services
• Knowledge of database design and data structures
• Javascript expertise
• Passion for creating great products and solving unique problems, while maintaining ‘“clean code” and quality standards

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with Microservices
• Experience with ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)  
• Detail-oriented, resourceful, and self-motivated mindset. You get stuff done!
