Advisor – Component Lead
Djindjic Scholarship Programme of German Business for the Western Balkans are looking for an Advisor – Component Lead
Duration: Employment is planned to start in October 2026. We offer a contract of limited duration until end of 2027 under local/national regulations with possibility for extension.
Weekly working hours: 40
The Duty Station is in Skopje
The key responsibilities of the incumbent are:
- Independently lead the technical and operational implementation of the Djindjic alumni component, including planning, coordination, monitoring, reporting and quality assurance.
- Coordinate the Djindjic Foundation, the seven national alumni clubs and relevant civil society and institutional partners across the Western Balkans.
- Strengthen the governance, sustainability, local ownership and regional cooperation of the seven alumni clubs, including joint initiatives and regular exchange.
- Lead the implementation of regional alumni meetings, conferences and capacity-development activities, as well as the development of the legacy website and regional alumni database.
- Provide technical expertise on youth policy, meaningful youth participation, regional cooperation, reconciliation and youth inclusion.
- Design and support youth policy dialogue and participation processes that connect youth-generated priorities with relevant institutions and practical follow-up.
- Contribute to youth-focused regional initiatives, methodologies and learning formats addressing inclusion, employability, skills development and the participation of young people facing structural barriers.
Candidate qualifications, skills and preparedness:
- University degree in political science, economics, law, social sciences, regional studies, management or another relevant field.
- At least 7 (seven) years of relevant professional experience in programme or project management, including substantial regional and multi-country experience in the Western Balkans.
- Proven experience in independently leading complex project components and coordinating alumni networks, civil society organizations, public institutions and other regional stakeholders.
- Strong expertise in alumni engagement, youth policy, meaningful youth participation, network development, regional cooperation and reconciliation.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering regional conferences, policy dialogues, exchange formats and capacity-development activities.
- Excellent organizational, facilitation, negotiation and intercultural skills, very good English, knowledge of at least one Western Balkan language, and readiness for frequent regional travel.
