The warehouse specialist is experienced and has demonstrated a high-level skills in a variety of warehouse functions. Cross trained and performs at or above standard in different job functions.

The responsible for this position trains others in various warehouse job functions. Processes, generates and interprets various Distribution Center documents.

The Warehouse specialist will be responsible for generating and summarizing warehouse related data including making decisions and recommendations based on the data.

Additional responsibilities include the ability to be a forklift driver and performing other functions that require advanced system knowledge. The warehouse specialist often participates in special projects and performs other duties. This position requires flexibility of schedule in all areas of work.

Responsibilities:

• Cross trained and working at or above standard in at least 2 different job functions;
• Performs all warehouse functions;
• Processes, generates and interprets various documents which require span of operational knowledge beyond basic functions within the procurement and Distribution Center;
• Assists with generating and summarizing warehouse related data including running reports and making decisions and recommendations based on the data;
• Works with the warehouse software module and issue orders;
• Often participates in special projects and performs other duties;
• Ability to grasp, bend, stand, reach above shoulder height, and walk extensively throughout the warehouse;
• Ability to handle various environmental conditions such as hot and cool temperatures, hazardous items, noise, and dust.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and demonstrated skills of warehousing operations;
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, related work experience is a plus;
• Expanded computer skills beyond A-system and basic knowledge in Microsoft Office programs;
• Strong communication skills;

• Good reading, writing, math and computer skills;
• Detail-oriented, flexible and accountable for making accurate decisions under set guidelines;
• Good problem solving skills;
• Ability to follow instructions, work under stress and handle multiple assignments;
• Ability to read fine print and differentiate products with similar characteristics;
• Ability to stand while operating equipment bearing full weight on both feet;
• Other responsibilities relevant to the employee’s qualifications and skills.
