Electrical Engineer – GMP Production Facility

Location: Rosoman, North Macedonia  |  Full-Time  |  On-Site

About Sinceritas

Sinceritas is a GMP-certified pharmaceutical cannabis production and distribution company headquartered at our state-of-the-art Rosoman facility in North Macedonia. With a German subsidiary holding a Qualified Person (QP) designation and a Manufacturing Import Authorisation (MIA) for EU batch release, Sinceritas operates at the highest standards of pharmaceutical quality across the full supply chain — from cultivation to distribution.

We are a fast-growing company at the intersection of pharmaceutical compliance and innovative production. As we expand our facility infrastructure, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team and play a central role in maintaining, upgrading, and ensuring the electrical integrity of our GMP production environment.

Role Summary

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and compliance oversight of all electrical systems within our GMP-certified production facility. This is a hands-on, highly regulated role that requires deep technical expertise combined with a solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within structured SOP frameworks, interfacing with QA teams, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Electrical Systems & Maintenance

  • Plan, install, and maintain all electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, control panels, and emergency systems in compliance with GMP and applicable safety standards.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, HVAC electrical components, refrigeration units, and production machinery.
  • Oversee and maintain the electrical infrastructure supporting critical utilities including purified water systems, HVAC systems, and environmental monitoring equipment.
  • Ensure uninterrupted power supply to production-critical systems; develop and implement contingency plans for power failures.
  • Manage electrical documentation including wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment records in line with GMP documentation requirements.

GMP Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure all electrical installations and modifications are performed in accordance with GMP guidelines, EU pharmaceutical directives, and relevant IEC/VDE standards.
  • Support qualification activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) for electrical equipment and systems as required by QA.
  • Participate in deviation investigations, CAPAs, and change control processes involving electrical systems.
  • Prepare and review electrical SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance logs in compliance with the company’s quality management system.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams during audits and inspections to demonstrate electrical system compliance.

Project Management & New Installations

  • Lead or support electrical engineering projects including new hall construction, production line expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Coordinate with external contractors, equipment suppliers, and engineering consultants for electrical installation projects.
  • Review and approve electrical designs and contractor work; ensure compliance with applicable building codes and safety regulations.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and documentation for all electrical engineering projects.

Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Enforce and promote electrical safety standards across the facility; conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and other environmental requirements relevant to electrically driven systems (e.g., refrigeration).
  • Maintain certification records and regulatory documentation for all electrical installations.
  • Organise and deliver electrical safety training for relevant facility staff.

Monitoring, Control & Automation

  • Maintain and optimise building management systems (BMS/EMS) and environmental monitoring systems (EMS) used in the GMP facility.
  • Support integration and troubleshooting of SCADA systems, PLCs, and other automated process control equipment.
  • Monitor energy consumption and implement efficiency measures where feasible without compromising GMP compliance.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in industrial or pharmaceutical facility electrical engineering.
  • Solid knowledge of EU electrical installation standards (IEC 60364, VDE, or equivalent).
  • Experience with GMP-regulated environments and familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations (EU GMP Annex 1, Annex 15, etc.).
  • Proficiency in reading and producing electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
  • Practical experience with control systems, PLCs, and building automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Willingness to be available for on-call support during critical facility situations.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or cannabis GMP production environments.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom design standards and HVAC electrical integration.
  • Familiarity with F-Gas regulations and refrigeration system management.
  • Project management experience (PMP certification or equivalent is a plus).
  • German language skills (B2 or above) are an advantage given our German subsidiary operations.
  • Experience working with international engineering teams or cross-border projects.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • A key role in a rapidly growing, GMP-certified pharmaceutical cannabis company with EU market reach.
  • Direct involvement in high-impact infrastructure projects including facility expansion and system upgrades.
  • Collaborative working environment with a professional, multinational team.
  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities in GMP and pharmaceutical engineering.
  • Stable, long-term employment with opportunities for growth as the company scales.
