ACCOUNTANT
Responsibilities and Job Duties:
- Recording and posting incoming documentation, including inventory accounting, fixed assets, small inventory, and depreciation;
- Reviewing invoices for VAT records;
- Organizing and verifying accounting records prior to the preparation of VAT returns;
- Posting expense and service invoices into the accounting system;
- Recording bank statements (both local currency and foreign currency accounts);
- Preparing and posting compensations, assignments, and other forms of mutual settlement of receivables and liabilities;
- Posting accounting debit and credit notes;
- Communicating with suppliers and customers to reconcile accounting records;
- Posting accruals and deferrals of expenses/revenues (prepaid and accrued items) to ensure proper monthly allocation of costs and income;
- Preparing the Main Trial Balance;
- Assisting in the preparation of financial budgets;
- Participating in external audit activities and assisting in the preparation of financial statements;
- Monitoring and working in compliance with legal regulations, as well as reporting and implementing changes when regulations are amended;
- Maintaining documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
Required Professional Competencies, Qualifications, and Skills:
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- Certified Accountant License;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the same or a similar position;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software (Pantheon is an advantage);
- Active knowledge of IAS/IFRS accounting standards;
- Excellent command of the English language;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions within the scope of responsibility.
