FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Role Overview
The Finance & Accounting Manager leads the finance function and manages a small team responsible for accounting, reporting, and financial operations. The role combines hands-on financial management with team leadership, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strong financial control while supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance and Accounting Specialist
- Allocate tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance
- Ensure clear roles, accountability, and team efficiency
- Build a scalable finance function as the company grows
Financial Reporting & Control
- Create monthly financial statements prepared by the team
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting
- Implement and supervise closing processes (monthly/year-end)
- Maintain strong internal controls
Accounting Oversight
- Supervise general ledger, AP/AR, VAT, and tax filings
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and IFRS (if applicable)
- Review reconciliations and accounting entries
- Act as escalation point for complex accounting issues
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Lead budgeting process with input from management
- Monitor actual vs. budget performance
- Provide financial analysis and business insights
- Support pricing, margin, and profitability analysis
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Oversee cash flow planning and liquidity management
- Approve payments and monitor collections
- Manage banking relationships
- Monitor FX exposure (important for China sourcing)
Group & Intercompany Management
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Ensure transfer pricing compliance
- Coordinate reporting with shareholders and related companies
- Support intra-group agreements and documentation
Process Improvement & Systems
- Improve financial processes and reporting efficiency
- Implement or optimize ERP/accounting systems
- Standardize procedures across finance activities
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- ACCA/CPA (or in progress) preferred
- 6–10+ years experience in finance/accounting
- At least 2–3 years in a team leadership role
- Experience in trading/import-export is a strong advantage
