PRODUCT SPECIALIST FOR HVAC
Role Overview
The Product Specialist – HVAC is responsible for managing the HVAC product category lifecycle, from sourcing and product development to market positioning and performance tracking. The role will focus on building competitive private label HVAC solutions (air conditioners, heating systems, ventilation products) tailored for Balkan and EU markets.
This position plays a key role in aligning supplier capabilities (primarily from China) with market needs, ensuring product competitiveness, compliance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Product Management & Development
- Manage the HVAC product portfolio (AC units, heating solutions, ventilation systems).
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings across the Balkans and EU.
- Develop and launch private label HVAC products under Fuego brands.
- Define product specifications, features, and pricing strategy.
Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Work closely with Chinese manufacturers to develop and customize products.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, certifications, and quality standards.
- Negotiate product specifications, pricing, and lead times.
- Coordinate with sourcing teams and future China office.
Commercial & Sales Support
- Support sales teams with product training, technical knowledge, and selling points.
- Prepare product presentations, catalogues, and technical documentation.
- Assist in pricing strategy and margin optimization.
- Support export markets (Balkans & EU) with tailored product offers.
Product Lifecycle & Performance
- Monitor product performance (sales, margins, stock turnover).
- Manage product lifecycle from launch to phase-out.
- Recommend improvements based on sales data and market feedback.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all HVAC products meet EU regulations (CE, energy labeling, eco-design).
- Coordinate testing, certification, and documentation.
- Work with QA teams on product quality and claims handling.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in product management, preferably in HVAC, appliances, or consumer electronics.
- Experience with private label products and sourcing from Asia is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems (split AC, inverter technology, heating solutions).
- Knowledge of EU compliance standards (CE, ERP, energy efficiency).
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and product documentation.
Business Skills
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
- Experience in pricing, margin analysis, and product positioning.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Communication & Languages
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with suppliers, sales teams, and management.
