The new colleagues will perform work tasks for asknet Academics solutions (https://asknet-solutions.com/).

asknet Academics solutions is the academic-focused business unit of asknet GmbH, a German company based in Karlsruhe, Germany. We specialize in software procurement and related services for academic and research institutions — particularly within German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

What we do:

• Provide centralized software procurement portals and licensing distribution tailored to universities, research institutes, schools and students.
• Help institutions access software from major vendors under favorable academic conditions (e.g., Adobe, IBM SPSS, Microsoft).
• Offer customizable procurement platforms for managing licenses efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Include additional related services like license management, portal design, and distribution support (e.g., Adobe student licensing, Microsoft 365 services).

We have served over 80 % of universities in the German-speaking DACH region and have long-standing partnerships with key academic technology providers.

We are looking for a qualified accountant, to support our Finance Department on an ongoing basis. The role will be fully dedicated to finance-related activities.

Required profile:

• Proven experience in debtors and creditors accounting (AR/AP), including postings, reconciliations, and clearing
• Solid knowledge of German accounting principles (HGB)
• Fluent in German - at least able to handle written communication with customers and suppliers
• Excellent knowledge of English
