Position: Graphics Prepress Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Graphics Prepress Technician to support high-volume printing production for a US-based, international company. This senior-level role is critical to ensuring artwork is accurately prepared, optimized, and approved prior to full production runs, setting the foundation for efficient, high-quality printing output.

The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in prepress workflows, print specifications, and automation tools, and is comfortable managing complex files in a fast-paced production environment. If you thrive on precision, process improvement, and collaboration across teams—and want to play a key role in scalable print operations—this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, convert, and optimize supplied artwork files into final proof-ready and production-ready formats.
• Apply minimum print specifications, color separations, press layouts, and finishing requirements to all files.
• Output proofs and convert approved proofs into final stepped files for plate output.
• Review completed files using QA checklists to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
• Utilize internal management systems to complete evaluations, job tasks, setup notes, and production comments.
• Collaborate with Customer Account Representatives and management to clarify job specifications and special requirements.
• Work closely with development and production teams to identify and implement automation opportunities that improve efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance prepress workflows and production quality.
• Attend department meetings and internal training sessions to stay aligned on processes and standards.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and production guidelines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support production operations.

Qualifications:

• College degree, preferably related to printing, graphic arts, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional prepress environment.
• Expert-level knowledge of preparing and planning artwork for high-volume printing production.
• Strong understanding of color separations, press layouts, print specifications, and production requirements.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Hands-on experience with Esko Automation Engine and Esko ArtPro.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight production deadlines.
• Self-starter mindset with a high level of accountability and attention to detail.
• Full color vision (no color blindness).
• Excellent command of the English language.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of JavaScript.
• B-1 visa eligibility for occasional travel to the United States.
